Did you miss us? GUYS, I’m excited! remember when I reviewed my Senreve Maestra bag and shared how much I like it? It works really well as an everyday bag—be it a work bag, a mommy bag, or just a bag to carry all of your daily necessities. I continued to carry it and utilize it for months—there is no color transfer, and I’m so impressed by that on a white bag. When we first introduced Senreve bags, I did share that a mini Maestra was on its method as well, and Senreve was kind enough to send me this bag to compare to the larger size.

Well, I can now state I’m even a lot more in like with the Senreve mini Maestra than the larger size! As Millie’s gotten older, she’s undoubtedly gotten heavier and is a lot more to manage because she’s always wanting to be on the move, and I don’t need to carry quite as lots of products with me at all times. She’s so heavy and not walking yet, so I normally carry her into places, and I need a bag that is both lightweight but incredibly functional. enter the mini Maestra—this bag is everything to me ideal now!

I sometimes find the Maestra a bit large when I don’t need all the extra space, so the mini Maestra is best (actually, Senreve, maybe we need a medium size, because I’d carry and like that too). The interior has lots of organizational setup—seven compartments in total. The padded compartment at the back of the bag fits an iPad mini, but I utilize it for diapers, a little pack of wipes, and cream. There are four little sleeve pockets, and they in shape an iphone plus, together with an additional larger zipper pocket for other loose items; that’s where I keep Millie’s EpiPen, hand sanitizer, and her other must-have products that I don’t reach for all the time.

The exterior of the bag has the exact same details as the larger size, just shrunken down. There is a front flap closure with a collar stud belt. You get pretty quick at opening and closing the bag, and typically I don’t snap the front belt, but it’s magnetic, so fastening it isn’t hard. like other Senreve bags, the interior is lined in a light blue micro-suede which is lightweight and light in color, which means you can find what you’re looking for quickly. The back has an exterior open pocket, but on the smaller size, it’s as well little for me to utilize extremely much. like all other Senreve bags, you can carry this bag multiple ways: over-the-shoulder, on the arm, crossbody, or backpack, as the double straps are easy to adjust and change the method you carry the bag, but I always opt for over-the-shoulder or crossbody.

As for the leather, it’s so good! The bag is 100% made in Italy, an aspect the Senreve team prides itself on, and the leather on this bag is Italian water-resistant pebbled leather. It’s incredibly sturdy and durable (it’s scratch resistant), yet still soft to the touch and has a smooth appearance. If you need to clean the bag, just wipe with a moist cloth—no soap. I so appreciate that I can really utilize these bags, and even opt for light colors since I know they won’t wear quickly—this blush color is as well pretty to put into words.

I was instantaneously drawn to Senreve because the bags look modern, new and clean, and I really like how passionate the duo who established the brand feels toward their bags. The clean lines on each bag make the aesthetics strong, but it’s the usability and performance that puts these bags into the must-have category for me. I always liked the Senreve Maestra best, and now that I have both, I can confidently state these bags are really, really, really good. If you need something bigger and want to carry your laptop for work, opt for the original Maestra, but if you can go with a a lot more compact bag, the mini is for you.

At first glance, I didn’t even see the little white wings on the Bally Rachele Two-Tone leather tote – against a white background, they all but disappear into the scenery. turned sideways, though, their effect is unmissable and maybe a little awkward. Does any individual but me feel like this bag is wearing a nun’s habit?

That’s probably just me, but the white wings coming off the sides of this bag have me confused. I love a crisp, neutral bag with contrasting trim, as we all know, but the implementation of the trim in this particular design makes me want to get hold of on and give it a tug. Or maybe try and push it back into the bag, like it’s stuffing that has come undone. Either way, it looks like all the white stuff is sticking out where it’s not quite meant to be.

I’m a bit disappointed, because I quite liked the simplicity of this bag until I saw the trim. A work-appropriate neutral tote is something that a lot of women will find a need for at some point in their lives, and this one is sharp enough for even the most male-dominated office environment. Without the white stuff tacked on, that is. and really, “tacked on” is the only way to describe it. The trim isn’t part of the bag’s structure at all, it merely sits around the outside, just waiting to get crushed on a too-crowded subway car or during an awkward fall off of a chair at a restaurant. With some pruning, this could be a terrific design. As it is, I’ll pass. get through Net-a-Porter for $1395.

While I don’t consider this bag to be a hobo, I do like it. Botkier is known for infusing various elements in order to put together an ingenious design. Ok, so the design here itself isn’t something that you’ve never seen before, but the detailing involved helps this bag stand out. The combination of the snake-embossed leather and gathering details along the front of the bag are the two aspects that caught my attention.

Besides those two aspects, I also love how youthful the Botkier Brooklyn snake cross Body Hobo is. This bag exudes elements of fun and flirty. The lacing details and metal grommets along the front and back of the bag as well as the tassels at the bottom all work well off of one another. sometimes with a few different elements on the same bag it could look like disharmony, but that is not the case here. This bag would be perfect for daytime use as well as a nice accessory for certain evening outfits. more than anything, you are sure to have fun with this bag, and hey, sometimes we all need more fun in our lives. buy through Shopbop for $395.

Right now, though, we want to talk about shoes and bags, and many importantly, how they go together. Normally, I’m not a proponent of perfectly matching accessories, but the Charlotte Olympia Tweetie Parrot pouch and Cage grasp set and the Charlotte Olympia Birds of Paradise Cage Heels sandals just have to be worn together. Always. preferably while the wearer is drinking some sort of exotic drink within visual distance of a sandy beach.

In my mind, Charlotte Olympia is the only mass-market designer working best now who can get away with this kind of irreverence and literalness. If this shoe were a Louboutin, for instance, I’m not sure I would be convinced – Christian has built himself a credibility for aggressive sexuality in his shoes, even when there’s also some fun to be had, but I expect girlish shenanigans from Charlotte. In fact, I want them from her.

I like the shoe better than its grasp counterpart, to be honest, but there are things about the grasp that I like. First, that possibly the deal with is big enough to be worn as a bracelet, so you’ll always have your bag with you, even after one too numerous caipirinhas. Second, the grasp is actually two clutches – the parrot inside the cage is fully removable, and both pieces can be worn separately or together. That’s three potential crazy handbag options! Which, depending on your own personal style, might be three much more than you need or want. Personally, I always like to err on the side of fun.
