Versace Studded leather carry Bag: love it or Loathe it?

Every handbag lover out there has a different taste. While this indicates so lots of of us can be on complete opposite ends of the interest spectrum, it indicates that designers are pushed to create a plethora of designs for us. So, no matter what you like, we all win!

And as someone who spends a lot more hours than a lot of staring and evaluating handbags, I can appreciate the quality of a bag even if I would never be caught dead carrying it myself. However, there are times, when for the life of me, I cannot decide if I like a bag or not. This Versace bag fits that category perfectly.

When I first came across this bag, I spent some time looking back at the Versace bags we’ve covered here at PurseBlog. and Amanda said it best when she said that we aren’t the front running members of the Versace handbag fan club. I for one *want* to love Versace handbags, but they tend to confuse me.

The Versace Studded leather carry Bag absolutely boasts elements that I like, but I think there simply might be too much going on. Now, if you are ready to wear a very minimalistic outfit, this bag really could be perfect, but other than that, there would absolutely be too much going on.

Obviously, there is a ton of hardware on this bag. So much so that I wonder how much it weighs. This black leather bag is adorned with pale-gold studs. It can be carried as a carry bag (also with stud detailing) or a hold which is always nice. There is a fold-over flap lined in neon lime-green. It’s a bright color but not incredibly obvious when the flap is closed. open up the bag and you’ll find cream satin. Again, I like this bag, on some level, but I’m just not sure. But, what do you think, love it or loathe it? get through Net-a-Porter for $1795.

Stepping Foot on the production floor

Wow, what a crazy day it has been. This last week I’ve been desperately working on technical packs for our next production run and man are there so any little details involved! but now I can see why!

I’ve been to different storehouse type production places for college but I really wasn’t sure what to expect! getting to see first hand what goes on at our production studio was so eye-opening. I got to meet with our production team to talk through our designs and updates. We talked about our new product, the Guitar Straps, from what would work with the ribbons and leather we were considering to the overall look and feel of them. as well as, making a lot more Hair on hide handbags in Nikki and Cher, considering that they were such good sellers for us.

The production floor was HUGE, so any different workers to machinery. There were shelves full of our leather and hardware, the constant humming of the sewing machines, and the hustle and bustle of workers running around the production floor. Not only was that a lot to take in, but this was an experience like never before.

Being a college student, I haven’t had much hand-on-hand experience seeing how products are actually produced. but seeing the production floor first hand, felt like I was a child walking into a toy store for the first time. I wanted to take a look at each and every item, touch all the materials, and ask so lots of questions, but time is of the essence when it pertains to design.

I’m ecstatic to say we have emailed, ordered, and have some minor adjustments to do before finalizing our Guitar straps but we are closer than ever to making them and getting them online. YAY! but first we will be making a lot more of some of our sold OUT best sellers considering that that is a much much easier process than starting from scratch. It also allows us time to make sure we aren’t overlooking any detail involved in the Guitar Straps.

Keep an eye out for new posts, updates about our process, and if you have any comments or suggestions about our designs hop on over to Facebook. and don’t forget about our Facebook live every Friday at 5pm central Time!

Mulberry’s spring 2019 Lookbook shows That It’s a Bag brand You should Be watching right now

I’ve been waiting all fashion month to have some fun. There have been good bags in most of the shows that feature them, but a good bag here and there isn’t really exciting to me—most brands make at least one or two every season, in perpetuity. What’s exciting to me is a point of view that feels fresh, because that provides the opportunity for a lot more: all the big brands and most of the indies are capable of producing well-made leather goods, but who among them is going to do it with a sense of joy and creativity? right now, the answer to that is Mulberry.

The brand has had some high-profile and well-documented strategic trouble over the past five years, but ever since the company reshuffled its executives and appointed former Céline handbag head Johnny Coca to its creative helm several years ago, things have been on an undeniably positive track. Mulberry’s spring 2019 lookbook gives me even more optimism about the brand’s future, and the bags within it provide a mixture of cheerfulness and sound design and execution that marry the best qualities of the old-school leather houses and the indie brand interlopers that have invigorated the market in the past two years. check out the collection below.

This Olivia Harris tote Demonstrates exactly Why I Don’t like take on straps

See people, this is what I am talking about when I express how I feel that so numerous take on straps are unnecessary. The take on strap on the Olivia Harris Lambskin round Sack tote is not only unnecessary, it is also absolutely FUGLY. I know for a fact that I would have a much different opinion if say, the strap was the same color as the bag itself. However, a black bag with a tan take on strap just screams “handbag don’t” to me.

The unfortunate part is that because of this take on strap, I’m having a hard time appreciating the otherwise beautiful tote. Isn’t it sad how one misplaced detail on a handbag can completely destroy the overall look and feel? Ok. I realize I need to relocation on, so I am going to try.

As I said, if you can try to disregard the hideous take on strap, you will see a pretty good tote in front of you. washed black lambskin leather, brass hardware and plenty of interior pockets round out a good bag. This is exactly the kind of tote I’d reach for when I have a day of running errands ahead of me. Now, if I could just get over the take on strap. Sigh. purchase through Bloomingdale’s for $425.

The bucket Bag is spring 2014’s most significant accessories trend

For those of you who wanted one, it’s probably time to come to terms with the fact that you’re not going to get a Mansur Gavriel bucket Bag for spring. (Add it to your wishlist at Net-a-Porter, though – a friend who did so fairly recently saw it show up in her shopping bag last week.) That’s a bummer, but the good news is that Mansur Gavriel was on the front end of a trend that has because become huge – bucket bags are spring’s most significant handbag shape trend, and the brands entering into the fray include everyone from opening ceremony to Hermes.

Traditionalists will be happy to see that Louis Vuitton has introduced lots of new versions of the original bucket bag, the Noe, including Epi leather in ideal summer shades. On the less expensive end of the spectrum, lots of contemporary brands have pounced on the casual, unstructured style in a way that will certainly appeal to younger customers. Should it stay or should it go: my Olympia Le-Tan Miami book clutch

I’ve been obsessed with Olympia Le-Tan book clutches for what seems like forever. since I first discovered these handmade accessories, it has been love. With a wide variety of options stemming from many works of classic literature, if you’re a book worm and a bag lover, this brand is a match made in heaven.

I always check Net-A-Porter to see the latest arrivals, and usually, Le-Tan’s book clutches sell out as soon as they show up. Last week, though, I found the Olympia Le-Tan planning Your vacation in Florida: Miami embroidered clutch and I ordered it.

I didn’t even think, I just ordered, and then I justified why this was the right option for me. I grew up in Miami, I still travel there often, and it speaks to me. I’m not typically drawn to green, but the green and taupe embroidery and felt feels organic and chic in its own way, surely to work with spring and summer wardrobes. The inside has a really chic liberty car-print poplin lining that’s fun and quirky.

Vlad was not as sold on this bag, yet when it arrived I couldn’t wait to unwrap the box and take out my new acquisition. I can’t tell if he had an influence on my initial feelings toward my new purchase or not, but I began to question it. first off, with a price of $1,880, I have to wonder if I will ever carry this enough to justify paying for it. Second, will I actually use it at all? It’s an eclectic piece, and much like a Judith Leiber bag, it’s more of an art piece than a widely usable bag.

Don’t get me wrong, though, I still absolutely adore this clutch. Miami is a place that I called home for most of my life, and some purchases don’t have to be the most practical, but they are there to fill a artistic slot for a conversation piece. While I know the decision is up to me, I want to turn to you and ask your thoughts: should it stay or should it go? price is $1,880 via Net-A-Porter.

What to Wear: modern Bohemian

Or as some might say, the flower child that grew up…

There are several essential pieces that make up a modern boho look. My favorite is a light and airy maxi dress. this one too risqué? You can always wear a slip underneath.   pair with chunky beaded jewelry or something vintage. Wedge sandals for a weekend look or gladiators for date night.

The look isn’t complete without a boho chic slouchy distressed leather bag and I fell in love with this peace pendant from Alex and Ani too. If you are really going for the total look, a floppy hat will top it off perfectly.

Then add a distressed sweater to turn the dress into a skirt and finish with leggings and ankle boots for winter. It’s no wonder the bohemian look is one of the most stylish clothing categories that you can wear.

And remember this look isn’t just for summer festivals.

What to Wear: beach influenced

California beach style is synonymous with surfing, skating as well as sunshine!

But for me, it’s more than that! It’s the motivation behind my bohemian sense of style. I’ve never been a sun worshiper, so when I state beach influenced I’m not speaking about skimpy bathing fits as well as crop tops.

Growing up only a few miles from southern California beaches for most of my life,  meant sun-soaked afternoons, beachfront dining, walks along the pier, bike rides down an oceanfront path, as well as of course, viewing a few of the regional dudes riding the waves didn’t hurt.

But when it came to fashion, for me, it’s always been about airy laid-back comfortable styles, from long Maxi dresses, simple sandals as well as a slouchy hobo shoulder bag. This attire can get you from sunrises to sunsets, particularly in the 70 degree year round weather condition I utilized to enjoy!

Whatever you do, definitely take a trip down PCH, spread on the sunscreen, flip the vehicle top down, as well as go.

Everything In between

Did you understand there are only extremely few designers available who started their service from scratch? Like, I indicate no assist in any way from huge names in the industry, no hot shot investors, ALL on their own with one stitching maker as well as a dream.

Calvin Klein single-handedly developed one of the largest jean empires across the entire world, however his journey to the top of the fashion market was anything however easy.

As a bit boy, it is stated that instead of playing outside all the time with his brothers, he much favored to go buying with his mom, who was one of the primary contributors to his like for fashion. After college, he accepted a task making extremely bit pay as an apprentice mapping out styles from the European runway. With extremely bit to no original fashion concepts coming out of America at this time, he went for it.

Ups as well as downs throughout the years in his life as well as the business nearly resulted in going bankrupt a number of different times. however obviously, he prevailed as every understands Clavin Klein; he is one of the a lot of high profiled stars in history.

This story stuck out to us at Brynn Capella; there have been times when Brynn wonders why her service hasn’t rather reached it’s full potential, or why didn’t other famous designers go with the trials as well as tribulations that she has? Is there something she’s missing? however then she realized, this is just her in between.

The Louis Vuitton and Hermes flasks, for the ladylike drunks in all of us

images through Vogue.com

While cutting the photos for yesterday’s post about Louis Vuitton’s spring 2012 runway bags, I practically missed this little darling. cutting photos is mind-bendingly tedious work, and it’s easy to glaze over and become something of a Photoshop robot while in the process, particularly for a show as handbag-heavy as Vuitton‘s. just before I went into full zombie mode, though, I realized that a lone model wasn’t carrying a bag at all, but instead a Louis Vuitton Flask.

But this wasn’t the only flask to make an appearance on the Paris runways. Hermes showed one too, and it had a neck strap so that you wouldn’t get sauced and lose it. how convenient! For a photo of that one (and a Friday-appropriate discussion of all the designer boozing to be done), you have to make the jump.

Details are sketchy on these item in particular, but based on the photo, it appears to be half logo-etched stainless steel (or maybe LV will get fancy and choose sterling silver?) and half white crocodile. You know what that means, ladies? White croc stains like you wouldn’t believe, so no dark liquor shall pass the neck of this delicate flask. clear booze only! That implies vodka, gin, white rum and fancy tequila are all Vuitton-approved. Whiskey of all varieties, spiced rum and the Cuervo Gold you drank in college? No way.

And then there’s the Hermes flask, which has a different aesthetic quality entirely. It’s colorblock and modern, which ought to help with spillage, theoretically. except that it’s suede, so Jeeves (let’s face it, no one who actually uses an Hermes flask is filling it herself) is going to have to be extra careful with that little funnel that comes packaged with flasks to make filling easy. From what I understand, Hermes women only drink gin, so at least there won’t be any unsightly brown stains on the yellow portion.

These items, if produced, will be available for all your drinking needs circa January 2012.
