Wow, what a crazy day it has been. This last week I’ve been desperately working on technical packs for our next production run and man are there so any little details involved! but now I can see why!
I’ve been to different storehouse type production places for college but I really wasn’t sure what to expect! getting to see first hand what goes on at our production studio was so eye-opening. I got to meet with our production team to talk through our designs and updates. We talked about our new product, the Guitar Straps, from what would work with the ribbons and leather we were considering to the overall look and feel of them. as well as, making a lot more Hair on hide handbags in Nikki and Cher, considering that they were such good sellers for us.
The production floor was HUGE, so any different workers to machinery. There were shelves full of our leather and hardware, the constant humming of the sewing machines, and the hustle and bustle of workers running around the production floor. Not only was that a lot to take in, but this was an experience like never before.
Being a college student, I haven’t had much hand-on-hand experience seeing how products are actually produced. but seeing the production floor first hand, felt like I was a child walking into a toy store for the first time. I wanted to take a look at each and every item, touch all the materials, and ask so lots of questions, but time is of the essence when it pertains to design.
I’m ecstatic to say we have emailed, ordered, and have some minor adjustments to do before finalizing our Guitar straps but we are closer than ever to making them and getting them online. YAY! but first we will be making a lot more of some of our sold OUT best sellers considering that that is a much much easier process than starting from scratch. It also allows us time to make sure we aren’t overlooking any detail involved in the Guitar Straps.
