If you’re a routine PurseBlog reader, you know how I feel about fur bags, even though I’ve softened enough this season to allow fur accents without as well much griping. and then I see something like the Christian Louboutin Anastasia grasp and I keep in mind why fur bags are a bad idea around again.

Only one word concerned mind when I saw this bag: Pomeranian. because the bag is constructed out of fox fur, it already has the look and color of a canine to it, and the coppery shade and length almost exactly match the small dogs cherished by people who want to carry their animals in their handbags. Unfortunately, this grasp appears like you’re trying to carry your pet as your handbag. I’m just waiting on it to poke its bit head out from under the fur and begin begging for a Snausage.

My gripe with fur, other than the well-know honest problems surrounding its use, has always been that it’s generally as well long and rich to work in the structured, practical world of handbags. and this grasp proves just that – despite certainly having a frame under there somewhere, the bag appears like nothing more than a giant furball that you’ll have to carry around by hand all night. and actually, that’s exactly what it is, not to mention that it most likely appears like your pet’s long-lost cousin. buy with Neiman Marcus for $2345.

happy end of September, fashion lovers! The PurseForum Roundup has been away for a bit, but we’re back to wrap up the month with a look at what’s hot and happening this week. Needless to say, our members have been shopping in our absence, and we stopped into Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and more to see which bags our members are snapping up. thanks for joining us!

We have a lot of new bags to catch up with this week, and we started off with Bottega Veneta, where we found a gorgeous messenger bag in BV’s sublime dusty rose Barolo. Phiomega shared this lovely bag with a very appreciative audience, and we are pleased she did. No matter the brand, two surprises are always better than one, and Tenkrat got quite a pair of surprises with this superbly versatile Bella and organizer. Also, one of our favorite reveals of the month is this bi-color Cabat that Buckeyemommy scored on the resale market. The great thing about a well-made handbag is that is stands the test of time, and this fabulousness is a fine testament to Bottega. Take a look and see what you think.

Speaking of pre-loved bags, we have a new thread in Louis Vuitton asking members to share their best LV pre-owned finds, and we anticipate seeing a lot of wonderful pieces also in LV, we found a “Fun and quick Reveal” of this cute key fob, and there is a charming wee Alma from the world tour collection to boot.

A few months back, we introduced you to the Gucci RE(BELLE) Tote, which right away became a favorite bag of mine due to its seemingly never-ending interior capacity and the beautifully soft and supple leather. though the RE(BELLE) was offered in a medium size tote as well as the large one we took a look at, many of you wondered why Gucci didn’t make the bag in smaller versions. Well my friends, today we’re in luck: Gucci heard our cries and I’m excited to give you an in-depth look at the Gucci small RE(BELLE) Crossbody Bag. This studded little lady shines in black leather with gold detailing, and my heart just can’t take it—I’m smitten.

While this bag is a seriously streamlined version of its big sister, the shape is exactly the same, and I really like the framed structure of the bag. though the bag is a unique shape and is really pretty to look at, the shape of the bag itself is also what makes it a bit difficult to use, but not in a way that would turn me off from it completely. It does not expand to fit very much at all, and what does fit inside needs to be maneuvered in a pretty specific way. since I tend not to carry that much day to day, this would work for me as a day bag, but for most, I think of it would not.

The Gucci RE(BELLE) is crafted of supple, natural grain leather and accented with brushed metallic studded detailing. In aesthetics alone, I give this bag an A+. It’s just my style and it goes with my current wardrobe perfectly. The construction of this bag is fantastic and I am consistently impressed with how Gucci’s bags hold up with use. Personally, I have two in my collection. One is a few years old, and even with a ton of use, has held up really nicely. Gucci’s leather always ages very well, and though this bag is covered in studded perfection, I think of this will age beautifully as well.

The small RE(BELLE) bag has two interior slit pockets—there is no interior zippered pocket. one of the pockets works to hold a smartphone, while the other pocket is smaller and would work to hold credit cards, debits cards, cash and/or train tickets. As mentioned, the interior is tiny, but held my iPhone, small zip-around wallet, a lipstick, a chapstick, a small makeup compact, and my Ray-Ban sunglasses in a cloth pouch instead of their case. overall dimensions of the small RE(BELLE) bag are 11.5″ L x 7″H L x 3″ D. You can pre-order one for yourself via Gucci for $3,400.

Under the guidance of Clare Waight Keller, Chloe has been pretty much impeccable when it comes to retro-modern femininity. looking for something in peach, blush or ivory, but want it without the saccharine sweetness that typically accompanies those shades? Go directly to Chloe, do not pass go, do not collect $200. For fall 2013, though, Waight Keller had something slightly tougher in mind, but her vision was no less-spot on.

In that vein, the handbags of Chloe fall 2013 are a bit stronger (visually, not quality-wise) than what we’ve seen from the brand in the recent past, and the season’s accessories also have a keen sense of functionality. The bigger bags, both monotone and bicolor, are structured so that you could probably fit your regular stuff plus a change of clothes inside of them without looking over-packed, and the exotic versions are a particular delight.
